Ok, I’ve been in love with the Decor8 blog for a very long time. It is always the first site I check when I’m feeling uninspired, as it will undoubtedly inspire me.
Today, for instance - I find a posting written by the host blogger, Tina (Holly, who started and typically writes for the blog, is currently moving to Germany), about summer cottage living. Gorgeous photos, and a recipe for the most wonderful looking lemonade… with pansey ice cubes. How cute is that?
Another guest blogger, Mati Rose McDonough, has posted a fantastic photo of her own bedroom… LOVE. First, I love turquoise… I even have a turquoise vacuum. It is such a cheery color, right?
As you can imagine, there is nothing that thrills me quite like the thought of painting an entire wall in my bedroom turquoise (my husband would not approve, so a dream it will stay). In addition to that lovely wall, I am impressed by the way she displays her jewelry (as well as the pretty pearls that drape the mirror). We wear jewelry as art on our bodies, why not let it be art on our walls while we don’t wear it? Normally, it sits in a drawer or a jewelry box and you forget about it. Not only do you see it, but it will remind you to wear it more often!
