Dear Reader,

Welcome! Bacca’s owners, Julya and Caroline, started this blog as a way to give you more information about pearls, jewelry trends and wedding tips. These are all of the things we love knowing about, and learning more about. You will also gain insight into how much fun we have running our business. The Bacca Pearls blog will be a combination of serious business (we’ll always be honest about our jewelry and how fantastic it is) and humor – we are both pretty sarcastic, so we like to make fun of ourselves and some of the funny things that happen to us while we experience China.     Hi Carol & Julia, I have a question. I purchased a beautiful necklace that was approximately 36 -40’, grey fresh water pearls with black crystals spaced between them, at Debbie Lambert’s house about 2 years ago. The trunk show was for a fundraiser for the Medical University of South Carolina’s scholarship fund for women in medicine. It is my favorite necklace. While wearing it at a medical conference earlier this month, I looked down and found that a portion of the necklace with the claw clasp was missing. I am not sure how much was lost since, despite retracing my steps, I could not find any trace of the missing clasp. I currently have about 34″ of necklace. I wore the necklace as a double strand of pearls. I was wondering if I could send the necklace to you for repair and restoration. I know that you cannot give an estimate without viewing the necklace, but am anxious to do what is necessary to restore it. It did break once before and lost a pearl, and my nurse, who does some necklace making, repaired that spot minus the missing pearl. Please let me know if you would be willing to restore the necklace and how I should ship it to you. Thank you in advance for your help, Lucinda
